Name Recognition #9

My intention was to work on lowercase letters, but this bunch of cuties preferred to copy the letters.

So, that is what we did.
I found these:

We put them in a BIG pile and then I passed them out. They lined them up on my sheets and wrote the letter under. After they wrote the letter, they got to eat the gummi letter!

This was another fun and quiet activity. We will do it again because gummi letters are awesome!

Color a Mosaic

I found a few websites that have free printables, and one was a Color by Number
It resembled a mosaic (for the sake of the theme) so I printed ones that my girls would like and let them at it.

Some were easier than others. :)

One followed the directions...

One did her own thing...

Both look great on the fridge. :)

Thumbprint Ladybug Notecards

This was one of my first posts EVER! Thumbprint People it was so popular, that I got my first sponsor! That was like a million years ago (it seems) my babies are huge now! *sniff*

Anyway. My oldest daughter has had several friends move in the past few months, so we decided to make Ladybug ThumbPrint Notecards.

I did the antennae, she did the dots and wrote the notes.
We sent out about 8 of them. So adorable!

Crayon Resist Easter Bunting - KIDMADE!

I love crayon resist-anything. I decided to go the extra mile on this one so it would last longer.

My daughter had a friend over so it was time to do a fun art project.

I am a watercolor fanatic and Prang makes the best ones.
This isn't a commercial, I truly love Prang better than Crayola when it comes to the Watercolors.
They are thicker and have more options. We used glitter and metallic.

I also grabbed some cardstock, yarn, and some cookie cutters.

First have the kids color with the Pastels/Oil Crayons.
They have such a smooth feel.

Then let them watercolor right over it. The more color, the better. I prefer the randomness.

After it is semi-dry trace some easter cookie cutters!

They can trace and cut if you want, but I wanted it to look more uniform, so I did it.

If I had older kids with me I would have had them do it all themselves.  The plus of me doing it ensured that I got the most out of each paper. :)

After that I added string and cut out with my cricut the easter letters.

There is something about kid-made easter decor. So perfectly cute.

Our little Art friend didn't have enough painted square footage to get a full banner, so we just did her first initial.

from what I am told...she loved it so much, she hardly put it down. :)

Homemade/Kidmade Flowers - Daffodils 1

I just LOOOVE Daffodils don't you?  They are such a cheerful flower. Since we have a ton blooming here around my house I thought we would talk about them...join us in our month of beautiful flowers.

Here is the diagram I found on HOW TO DRAW a daffodil.

So that is what we did today...
So I printed it out and we went on our way.
They were so into the drawing and parts of the daffodil.
 Then we painted them.
We did one color at a time to eliminate mess.
I drew hers she just wanted to paint, and that's okay.
 Finished products...

Super fun, cheery and cute! They look great on my wall! :)
