Kid Made Ornaments: Reindeers

you need 3 clothes pins, one wooden spool, googly eyes and a red ball or bell.

We used hot glue on the cool setting, but you could use tacky glue or wood glue and be totally fine.

First, paint the wooden objects...

 Then glue them together

 Then hang on the tree!

Edible Hats!

My son's Kindergarten class is having a Dr. Seuss day on Friday. I signed up to bring a snack. Today was the practice of the snack!

You need Fruit Roll Ups, Marshmallows, and Strawberries, and wooden sticks.

I cut the strawberries ahead of time. Then let the kids go at it!

Other things you could use are bananas (I am deathly allergic - so those were OUT!)

In my son's class we are doing string cheese cubes and cherry tomatoes.

Easy Toddler Christmas Idea #3

Toddler Made Gingerbread Houses!

Okay so I have been saving these for awhile.

 So we opened them up and cut the tops off

 then tape the middles together. and trim the triangle edges off

 Now tape again

 then cover it with a paper bag or book covers

 this is what it should look like when it is traced properly

 now cover the box with glue and doublestick tape

 Now the toddlers can have at it.  We used white tempra paint and q-tips.

 Everyone had a fun time

 N did his pretty quick so I let L (my kid) do one too.

I forgot to take a picture of the finished product but - I added a white door and windows and they looked so cute!

This Toddler Christmas activity required a little prep ahead of time (see above) but they were ready to go and dried fairly quickly.  The best part is that they will store with the Christmas decorations easily because they are flat! Nothing 3D to pull off or tear.

Oval Dogs

Yesterday was a SQUARE DAY. Smores Nachos.

Today is an OVAL DAY!

Cut a bunch of different sizes of ovals.  Grab some brown paint and some sponges!

See, a lot!

Sponge paint ALL of the ovals.

done!  Let them dry and assemble. Add googly eyes and an oval nose and an oval tongue, and here it is...
