If your not just think good thoughts.

Sponge Towers

I have seen this a few times and thought my kids would love it. I knew I would love it more because it is QUIET!

Here is what you need..
Sponges, and scissors (for the grown ups)

Cut them Long ways and Short ways...everyone wants an option. :)
 Then build.
this kept the girls occupied for an hour!  I only cut up 8 sponges, but I will probably add to the sponge box as we go on. The best part is that we can use the sponges for other projects in the future.
This boredom buster only cost $2.50 because I found the packages of sponges for $1 at Dollar Tree. Awesome!

Apple Lab

Pick up a few apples of different colors...

Color the color of the apples and then use one color marker for the prediction, and another for the actual results.

Then go to town! Taste, Smell, etc...

Then discuss the findings.

Apple Nomenclature Cards

Print these HERE

I cut them out and then spread them out on the table...in a random order.
cut an apple and figure out what parts are what.
 very scientific.
 then draw your own!
The 2 year old's version of an apple.
The 5 year old's version of an apple.

This is an awesome snack time project!

Apple Lacing

I grabbed some Apple Jacks and yarn and the lacing needles I had in the lacing card bin.

Let the girls at it while I did the dishes.

A totally simple project but it takes time and the best part is eating it while they walk with me to pick up brother at school.
